Yu Ren

Prior to founding IPfaith Partners, Mr. Ren was a senior patent attorney at a leading intellectual property law firm in China. Mr. Ren has handled all aspects of patent right protection in business including drafting, prosecution, acquisition, enforcement, and licensing of patents. He has represented many multi-national corporations and start-up enterprises in patent litigations and invalidations against infringers and competitors all over China.

Mr. Ren has more than twenty years experience in the technical fields of mechanical engineering, including both automotive and railway vehicle, nuclear power plant, wind power generator, gas turbines, petroleum equipment, and optical devices, etc. He especially specialized in medical devices and instruments, such as MRI and endoscope.

He was also the expert in paper machinery in his law firm. In the past nine years, Mr. Ren has persecuted hundreds of patent application in paper machinery field. Of every four patent applications entrusted by a market leader in the global paper machinery industry, Mr. Ren handled more than three of them.

In the invalidation and litigation sector, Mr. Ren has also helped many clients in various technical fields, such as steel rolling, automotive, agricultural machinery as well as paper machinery, in a number of cases before the Patent Reexamination Board and the courts.

Mr. Ren has been working with German & European clients from both law firms and enterprises for more than ten years and is very knowledgeable in Chinese, German and European law & practices.

His knowledge of all the three official languages of EPO also helps him a lot in patent literal researching and communications with the clients.
